On Tuesday of this week I was able to visit one of the most famous Gaudí buildings of all: Sargada Familia. After school Katie and I made our way by metro to the famous structure and took a tour of the enormous cathedral. As soon as I walked up the steps from the metro my jaw dropped and I saw what was one of the most intricate buildings I have ever seen. The outside of the cathedral is Gothic making it look old and dark. Once I walked inside the Sargada Familia it completely transformed to create a completely different feeling. The inside was composed of modern touches, clean lines, and all stained glass which reflected all the natural light making the inside illuminate.
Gaudí began the Sargada Familia in 1882 and committed the last part of his career to building it. The Sargada Familia is still unfinished and under construction. It should be finished within the next 15 years.
